Best Hit Tracks of 2015: The Ultimate Playlist You Need

The proverbial door has hit 2015 square in the tuches and the tally is complete — here’s the list of the top 200 requested songs from DJs in 2015.

Each year DJ Intelligence compiles the top requested songs of the previous year after analyzing millions of client requests made through their music request system, largely from weddings and other private events. DJ Intelligence claims you will not find a more accurate representation of what songs are actually being requested from mobile DJs world-wide.

Millions of requests is certainly a size-able pile of data, so we trust that their chart is accurate for most DJs – other than those playing in niche markets.

A quick search in Pulselocker (in-app streaming service that’s now baked into both of our DJ mixing software platforms) yielded most of these tracks, other than those under Universal Music Group, who’s content won’t yet be ingested into the system until late this month.

Personally, I always get a kick out of these charts. I like to dig through my history list in DEX 3 to see how the top 200 requested songs charts match up with my requests over the year. While I don’t do many private functions anymore, it seems most of the tracks in the list I’ve played at least a handful of times throughout 2015.
